Lindsey Cotter-Hayes

Lindsey is happy to be setting down roots and establishing herself in a community after traveling for a number of years as a student and teacher in the field of experiential, expedition based education. She has worked designing and leading an international academic semester in Ecuador for GlobalQuest. Prior to this, she worked as a Lead Educator and Director of Curriculum for Shackleton School, teaching science and traveling throughout the United States and abroad. Lindsey has benefited from a wide range of environmentally focused employment as a marine biology research assistant in Australia and Maine; as a Ridge Runner and Horticulturist for the National Park Service, leading trail crews throughout the United States; leading sea kayaking and backpacking trips as a Registered Maine Guide; conducting ground truthings in the Southwestern United States; coordinating a national campaign for the Center for Health, Environment and Justice; and as a lifelong farmer.
