Dawn Chávez was the Director of the Manice Education Center, a residential environmental education center in the Berkshires for inner city students from New York. She is a graduate of Cornell University and holds a Masters of Environmental Education from Montclair University. Ms. Chávez is pursuing a doctoral degree in Environmental Studies from Antioch New England Graduate School focusing on the role of environmental learning in the lives of immigrants. She is a 2003 Switzer Environmental Fellowship grant recipient.
