Testimonials
“We’ve met around something that we all have started to care about. The diversity of the people who are involved is making it a neighborhood in a way that probably wouldn’t exist without it, because, what do we have to rally around? What do we have in common? What would bring us together otherwise? Some tragedy? So here we’re in the process of creating something beautiful and everybody has a chance to participate.”

Lindsey is happy to be setting down roots and establishing herself in a community after traveling for a number of years as a student and teacher in the field of experiential, expedition based education. Prior to this, she worked as a Lead Educator and Director of Curriculum for Shackleton School, teaching science and traveling throughout the United States and abroad. She holds a B.A. in Human Ecology from College of the Atlantic and a M.S in Environmental Education from Lesley University's Audubon Expedition Institute. Lindsey has benefited from a wide range of environmentally focused employment as a marine biology research assistant in Australia and Maine, as a Ridge Runner and Horticulturist for the National Park Service, leading trail crews throughout the United States, leading sea kayaking and backpacking trips as a Registered Maine Guide, conducting ground truthings in the Southwestern United States, coordinating a national campaign for the Center for Health, Environment and Justice, and as a lifelong farmer. In her spare time, she enjoys studying and teaching yoga, knitting, birdwatching, and doing anything and everything outdoors, particularly working in her garden.
